Diabetes Education Service Administrative Support, Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus, 0.3 EFT (24 hrs/fortnight) Job share Works closely with the specialised Diabetes Education Service nursing team; a key team member supporting the day to day operations of the service and the interactions between staff and patients Administrative based role with quality improvement aspects, requiring a high level of organisation and reliability as both a team and autonomous worker Job-share position with other Diabetes Education Service Administrative Support staff We are a dynamic and proactive Diabetes Education Service team in a major metro hospital, where you will be working predominantly with Diabetes Educator Clinical Nurse Consultants, Endocrinologists, Dietitians and Research colleagues. We are embarking on an exciting period of growth and service expansion with a strong focus on diabetes technology service provision, telehealth services, inpatient diabetes management and service quality and development. Make yourself known and come and join our team Your new role: Our Administrative Support staff are integral to our daily operations, service provision and supporting excellent patient care. Provide a professional and caring customer focused service, often as the first point of contact and communication for patients, their families and visitors. Responsibilities include clerical, administrative and receptionist duties to support the Diabetes Education Service Team, in particular relating to patient enquiries, bookings, admissions and discharge Coordinate the physical and telecommunication traffic throughout the area; provide clear and concise communication with staff, patients, carers/relatives and the public in the process of performing duties, including supporting the flow of patient activity. Contribute to service and quality improvement activities of the service. This position job shares with other Administrative Support staff comprising 0.6 EFT.
