Volunteering at HammondCare is a great experience for you, and a great way to make a difference for people in need. Volunteer with passion and purpose with HammondCare, an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care. With your assistance as a mini-van driver, residents from our Woy Woy dementia care home will enjoy short outings as you drive them on short local trips for 1-2 hours and it may include a picnic morning tea or lunch. Youll be accompanied by one of our care staff who will look after the residents care needs. As the mini bus is a 10 seater, anyone with a current drivers license and good driving history can volunteer. We will provide training on driving the mini-bus. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
