Join us as a Field Service Engineer for the Motion Business Area, where you will be executing service work with low to medium complexity in accordance with work instructions, ABB processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. Reporting to Field Service Manager - East Coast, this position will be based in Moore bank, Australia. Your responsibilities Performing field service tasks, identify technical problems and analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are designed to perform Ensuring customer satisfaction and retention by delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations Working with the customer to identify opportunities for improving the customer's operations and eliminating pain points. Utilize the local practices for notifying the account team of opportunities Coaching associate technicians and associate engineers Creating material lists needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available at the time of service activity Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative in a timely manner Troubleshooting equipment/process failures and request proactive corrective actions and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem Proactively planning and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers and ensure the job is done on time. Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities Your background A qualified Electrician (is preferred) or Electrical Engineer with at least 3 years of relevant experience Knowledge and experience in maintaining, commissioning, repairing AC & DC drives and drives systems would be an advantage Industrial process application knowledge of variable speed drives and experience working in automated manufacturing or mining industries would be highly regarded Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work autonomously Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills Willingness to travel interstate frequently More about us ABB Motion Services serve customers around the globe with innovative services to maximize performance, uptime and energy efficiency throughout the lifetime of electrical motion solutions.
