We have an opportunity for a SCADA Engineer in our Pacific Project Delivery and support services team. This position reports to an Engineering Team Lead and is responsible for project delivery and customer support activities for new and existing Digital Grid Service customers. This job role is primarily based around the SE 'Advanced Distribution Management System' suite of software, but may include other technologies relating to feeder automation, metering, micro-grid, solar, etc. By becoming a part of our project delivery team as a SCADA project engineer, you are taking an important role in reaching our goals for successful project execution and the satisfaction of our customers. SCADA engineer is a project engineering role that will provide support, implementation, and maintenance of Schneider Electric SCADA products on various projects. This role is responsible for SCADA point to point testing, commissioning, installing hardware, documenting, troubleshooting, and resolving SCADA issues. Specific Activities; SCADA engineer performs jobs requiring knowledge of complex work methods and skills, with minimal supervision of their superior and according to their superior's general instructions when tackling methodological, procedural, or technical issues for which additional knowledge and experience is needed. Work closely with project teams, support team and customers as required. Support and maintain Digital Grid solutions for new and existing Digital Grid service customers. When working as a member of a project team duties may include participating in or leading project activities including (but not limited to) system design, documentation, deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Supporting customers in achieving their business goals by guiding and consulting them and being their trusted advisor. SCADA import, mapping and configuration. Tests and troubleshoots SCADA, communication networks and metering equipment during project execution phases. Maintain knowledge of industry best practice trends in the relevant areas. Working with colleagues from Schneider Electric (both from Australia and abroad) engaged on projects, ensuring achieving projects' goals and customer satisfaction. Continually follows the development of the company's product within the SCADA and EcoStructure ADMS - Advanced Distribution Management System portfolio. Continually contributes to work process and procedures improvement within both the Regional Solution Center and the entire company. About you; Possess relevant SCADA domain knowledge and skills - supervisory control and data acquisition, data processing. Experience in working with RTUs and Gateway units. Three (3) years of relevant experience related to SCADA / Protection and Control at power utilities. Familiarity with DNP3, IEC101/104, ICCP and other SCADA protocols. Willingness to learn. Able to work in multi-cultural environment and international team. Good communication skills. Good client relationship skills. You are a self-starter with collaborative work habits and high motivation for problem-solving. This role attracts a salary range between $100k to $120k.
