Job no: 499612 Work type: Full time Location: Hobart Categories: Administration, Project Management & Support Administration Officer - DREAM Project Diverse and impactful support role Bring your passion for administration to the University of Tasmania Full time, fixed term role (2.5 years) based in Hobart About the opportunity The Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre is looking for an experienced Administration Officer to support an exciting research project. The Dementia Respite Education and Mentoring (DREAM) Project aims to improve knowledge, skills and support for organisations and individuals providing dementia respite care through provision of online dementia education, an online Community of Practice and mentoring support delivered by dementia care coaches. The Administration Officer is responsible for the provision of effective and efficient operational support for the DREAM Project and for quality support services to both staff and stakeholders. The role requires experience, skills and knowledge in effective administration support. What you’ll do: Be responsible for day-to-day administration including coordination of meetings and events and associated logistics, maintaining databases and records management. Review and proofread project outputs such as film scripts, promotional material and Community of Practice resources and posts. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including university staff, partner representatives and DREAM participants by proactively responding to enquiries in a timely manner. Assist in the delivery and maintenance of the DREAM web portal. Undertake project work and assist with project tasks as assigned by the DREAM Project Manager, within the scope and accountability of the role. What we’re looking for: Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Extensive administrative experience and the ability to take responsibility for initiating, developing, implementing, and evaluating administrative processes within a complex organisation. Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective and outcome-focused partnerships. High level organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a complex and ever-changing work environment. Highly developed oral, written, and analytical skills, along with the ability to extract, analyse and integrate information from multiple sources, solve problems and think flexibly to develop solutions. A team player with an ability to work independently, use initiative, maintain confidentiality, and use sound judgement. Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $99,698 comprising base salary within the range of $76,302 to $85,212 plus 17% superannuation.
