As the Sales Leader, you will drive sales opportunities across the institutional superannuation fund sector and will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the business with a critical component of the role being client engagement and expansion of client relationships across senior levels of superannuation funds. The Sales Leader reports to the Head of Retirement, Australasia and will work with the Retirement team of around forty superannuation professionals in Melbourne and Sydney. Your key responsibilities will be to develop relationships and create new business leads for WTW, whether this be by responding to sales opportunities from existing WTW clients or by prospecting externally for new opportunities. Note: This role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney The Role The successful candidate will join the team with key responsibilities which include: Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and introduce new clients to WTW Develop appropriate relationships in the market and understand the competitor situation Provide sales expertise and guidance in building a market presence Build and manage pipeline; oversee the co-ordination of bid strategies, RFPs and pitch materials and support winning of new business Ensure regular and accurate forecast updates, updating client information systems, track actual revenue relative to budget and oversee effective cost management Collaborate with WTW colleagues (both within the Retirement team and the broader WTW business) to develop and implement strategies for profitable revenue growth Share knowledge and information with other WTW colleagues regularly and contribute to the development of a sales culture across the team Contribute to the development, commercialisation and dissemination of intellectual capital through new ideas, research and innovative client work The Requirements Knowledge and 10 business cycles in the Australian superannuation industry, either from a consulting background or at a fund in areas of actuarial, product, administration or group insurance. Strong network within the institutional superannuation trustee market Proven track record in sales and business development Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed stretching sales targets. Self-motivated and self-starter – energy and drive is essential Willing to work independently to drive results Ability to build collaborative teams at all levels Strong gravitas and well-developed written and oral communication skills Must be organised, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent sales negotiation skills to secure a profitable flow of new business Diligence in identifying, following up and securing new revenue opportunities Understanding of CRM tools especially Microsoft Dynamics and the ability to effectively utilise tools to monitor the performance and effectiveness of lead generation May require travel between Australian capital cities Note: Employment-based visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity.
