Join us and discover just how far you can go Role Introduction Cathay Pacific is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our fantastic Melbourne Engineering team to perform maintenance on Cathay Pacific and third party aircrafts. This is a permanent, part-time position. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is pivotal in ensuring that a high level of safety, reliability, security and presentation is provided to the company, customers and regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities Perform aircraft line maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customers under supervision of the Licensed Engineer or Engineering Manager Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles, systems and facilities Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc. Provide and deliver a high level and personalised service to customers Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards Requirements Certificate IV or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Engineering Experience with wide-body aircraft types, including B787, B777, A350, A330, A380 and B747-8 Freighter aircrafts Excellent organisational skills Attention to detail and high level accuracy is imperative Sensitive to the requirements of different cultures and personalities Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Proven ability to operate effectively with limited information and working independently without supervision Ability to work safely under time pressures Willing to work appropriate shifts on a 24 hour, seven day a week roster pattern in accordance with operational requirements Benefits Be part of the Cathay Pacific family and join a dynamic team culture working for one of the world's Top 10 Global Airlines Make the most of your leave and take advantage of travel industry discounts including flights, hotels, tours and car hire Enjoy Health benefits with 50% off private health insurance premiums (company-paid) Fly high with career development opportunities to diversify your skills and experience within the Cathay Pacific family Personal & Application Information If you would like to apply for this role.
