Your role will include, but will not be limited to: Delivering high quality and innovative structural designs and documentation for building structures with medium to large complexity, including mid-rise apartments, high-end residential buildings (including but not limited to architect design, custom built design), commercial buildings (including but not limited to warehouse, school, childcare centers). Leading and managing projects from concept design to construction within budget and delivery time frames. Liaising with architects, project managers, builders, developers and other relevant project stakeholders across multiple disciplines Cultivating a sense of client focus in your everyday approach to work, in particular with a sense of responsiveness, delivery on time, and professionalism. Mentoring and development of junior engineers. Attend site inspections/meetings during construction phase. You will need to have: A minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution 2 year experience in civil design or structural design. Drive Licenses Experience in the design of structural or stormwater and drainage layout for high-end residential buildings, commercial buildings, and warehouse. Experience in designing of reinforced concrete, steel and timber structures including raft, subfloor designs, timber framing, basements, extensions. Proficient in the use of engineering design software tools including Space Gass (essential), Structural Toolkit (advantageous ), RAPT (advantageous), DRAIN (advantageous) A network of clients who have been satisfied with your approach to structural consultancy. An ability to build rapport with all types of clients and project stakeholders. A drive to further develop your career and assist with business development. Advanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes.
