Job DescriptionWhat you’ll doReporting to the Head of Trade and Groups Sales, the successful applicant will be responsible for proactively hunting for and securing new group business, by developing new relationships and delivering new leads within key market segments. You will work closely with the Groups Sales team to ensure the conversion of new leads, while maintaining a calendar of proactive sales activities, calls, site inspections and tradeshows which deliver a constant pipeline of sales opportunities.Key elements of the role include:Identifying new opportunities, generating new enquiries, securing repeat business, and maintaining the sales pipeline for group business opportunitiesBuilding and maintain strong working relationships across key markets - education, sporting, corporate, faith/community and caravanningReviewing forecasts and developing and executing sales strategy plans.Taking ownership of the performance of group segments reporting on key metrics and outcomes to the business as required.Completing monthly analysis of group performance and provide a summary of recommendations to improve long term strategies.Proactively re-engaging old and current business to expand booking opportunities.Attending industry networking and tradeshows, and positively represent NRMA Parks and ResortsEnsuring all sales processes and client communications are centrally managed through booking platform - Ivvy and outstanding tasks are managed.Establishing and growing a portfolio of clients. QualificationsWhat you’ll bring 3 years in hunting / new business development role, with a strong track record of successfully delivering results (hospitality experience would be ideal)Demonstrated experience in managing the full Group Bookings process.Understanding of sales process and conversion strategiesExisting relationships established in some or all key focus target markets - education, sporting, corporate, faith/community and caravanning.Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.The ability to travel to our parks, resorts, sales calls and tradeshows as required.Proven experience in a similar role in the accommodation sector (desirable)The ability to bring your own leads for group business into the role (desirable)You LIVE the NRMA values and lifestyle.
