About the role The Team Leader of Planning and Urban Design role sits within the City's Local Planning Section and supports the section by developing and maintaining a strategic land use planning framework, and by facilitating innovative strategic urban design and public realm outcomes for the City of Coffs Harbour. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge and experience in strategic planning and urban design frameworks, open space planning and master planning (including knowledge and experience with NSW planning legislation, local environmental plan amendment processes, and in developing growth strategies and local planning controls). The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to manage various community engagement processes and strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. Do you have these key attributes? Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and coach a diverse team. Leadership experience in strategic land use planning and urban design. Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships. Strong interpersonal and communication skills across multiple platforms. Skills to manage and prioritise tasks. Ability to look at innovative and best practice planning processes. What's on offer? Attractive salary starting at $111,697 per annum Superannuation. Essentials Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning or equivalent. Strong Demonstrated experience in a direct or related field. Desirable Knowledge and experience in urban design, architecture, and landscape architecture. Previous leadership experience in a strategic land use planning role. Want more information?
