Excellent opportunity for Electrician/Maintenance Technician for 6 month contract with large Millmerran employer. Base pay rate of $85.10 per hour Our client, a coal-fired power station south of Millmerran in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, is seeking an Electrician/Maintenance Technician to join their team for a six (6) month contract commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate will contribute to the success of our client's 2 x 435MW units and associated auxiliary plant, and will fault find, repair, test, modify and commission equipment to achieve plant performance targets. This is a Monday to Friday role, 38 hours per week, at a base pay rate of $85.10 per hour (plus overtime). Key Responsibilities: Maintain the plant to set standards, including installation, repair, testing, modification, commissioning, and fault finding Complete plant routine maintenance and testing as allocated Utilize CMMS for work orders and participate in maintenance plan development Carry out minor plant isolation and assist other teams as needed Take immediate corrective action, protect the environment, and participate in safety programs Minimize wastage of spares and consumables, optimize operating and maintenance Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: Year 10 or equivalent secondary schooling, Trade qualifications in Electrical, and more. Desirable : Additional Trade certificates, Instrumentation qualifications; Tertiary qualifications, Workplace health and safety Officer Experience with the operation and maintenance of Electrical, Control Equipment and Systems, experience in a large process industry plant, investigations of plant technical problems, and experience with CMMS Desirable : Experience with DCS or PLC controls, creating maintenance plans, experienced CMMS user, and familiarity with desktop applications like Microsoft Office.
