About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a highly enthusiastic and creative Junior Graphic (Textile) Designer looking to elevate their career in fashion Reporting directly into the Merchandise Manager, this role will be fundamental in supporting the delivery of commercial on brand designs Working closely with the Graphic Designer and the VM team, the role encompasses support with administrative tasks from initial trend research, creating product CADS, Wall layouts, in store signage and Ticketing for the VM team. This role is full time at our Support Office on St Kilda Rd, Melbourne. Responsibilities Participate in print trend research under the guidance of the Senior Graphic Designer and provide input at artwork development stage. Work closely with the Product team to create moodboards in line with the Dotti brand aesthetic and current seasonal trends Help to develop trend booklets at the beginning of each season Establish seasonal and monthly colour palettes and ensure the product teams are given the right colour standard information (Pantones) to ensure ranges are cohesive across departments Assist with the illustrations of product CADS Liaise with the VM and Retail team and support with the creation of in-store promotional signage as well as wall layouts for each story Liaise and communicate with Product Coordinators on artwork, layout dimensions and pantone references for prints Skills & Experience A qualification in Fashion Design/Textile Design (preferred) Sound knowledge of local and overseas fashion retail markets Ability to translate fashion trends into commercial design concepts in line with the brand identity Experience working with Mac, In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator (preferred) High attention to detail Excellent communication and the ability to work as part of a team Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines Benefits: Work for an international company with 7 iconic Australian brands Generous discount to be used across all of our brands, and access to our sample sales across all brands Central office location based on St Kilda Rd, with direct access to the picturesque Fawkner Park Bring your dog to work If this sounds like you – apply now Please note, all applications must have a portfolio of relevant design work attached to be considered.
