About the project Orica has commenced a Global Payroll Transformation, with an intent of uplifting and consolidating payroll across all of Orica's 45 countries. This includes the introduction of interfaces with HR master data, finance, and banking, along with best-in-class systems and standardization of payroll processes globally. Supported by an external system implementation partner, Orica's program will be delivered over 3 years and operate concurrently across multiple countries. About the role We are pleased to inform you that Orica is searching for a Payroll Design Analyst (contractual role) to join our team at our Melbourne office with a hybrid working arrangement. The Payroll Design Analyst will work across several regions, including Australia, LATAM, Canada, and the Philippines, with a focus on understanding respective legislations. The role's expertise extends to interpreting payroll and enterprise agreements, demonstrating a thorough understanding of HR payroll processes, systems, and regulations. As a Payroll Design Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring compliant interpretation of all Orica agreements and applicable legislation is documented, managing the governance process to ensure payroll is configured accurately. What you will be doing Manage payroll across at least three countries, including Australia, LATAM, Canada, and the Philippines, with a focus on understanding the respective legislations. Interpret payroll and enterprise agreements. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of HR payroll processes, systems, and regulations. Work alongside with the regional team on payroll requirements and standardized everything globally. What you will bring Minimum 7 years of experience in payroll or payroll related roles Experience working across a minimum of 3 country payroll legislations (AU, LATAM, Canada, PH) - one of these or more - understanding the legislations Experience with payroll and enterprise agreement interpretation knowledge of HR payroll processes, systems, and regulations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
