The company was established in 2013 and manages a diversity of projects, including civil drainage, high-end residential builds, light commercial builds, industrial works and renovations & maintenance. They are proud Member of the Master Plumbers of WA. They have a proven track record in delivering high quality plumbing, gas and drainage services. Further, they provide a friendly, efficient & professional service to their vast clientele ensuring that projects from large ongoing builds through to emergency maintenance works are handled with care and with a high level of professionalism. The team currently consists of ten plumbers, boasts decades of experience and they provide on-going up-skilling and onsite staff training development opportunities. Due to ongoing business growth, they are currently looking to add an experienced senior construction plumber / gas fitter to their skilled team to assist running of numerous existing projects and to drive future growth. The Position This role provides a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated person to join their dynamic plumbing & gas team and manage numerous construction projects. The suitable person will work closely with the Leading Hand and Management to drive company standards and reach critical KPIs. The right person must be able to understand SWMS and ensure themselves & co-workers abide by company & major contractor SWMS & other safety rules at all times. The suitable person shall have the skill set to manage their own daily jobs as well as oversee other co-workers & apprentices. The experience in reading plans, setting out drainage & water services as well as liaising with builders is extremely important to this role. Specific job responsibilities include: Reviewing upcoming stages of projects and forward planning for required material, required labour & machinery. Read & understand plans to ensure the plumbing team has the correct set out and construction drawings, and make sure they understand them. Preparing progress claims and variations for various projects. Ensuring the project is running to schedule in conjunction with the Leading Hand & Management. Having daily contact with the General Manager. Ensuring colleagues are clearly explained complex onsite works to ensure accuracy & effective time management. Placing orders for all major equipment and materials. Liaising with Admin Manager to ensure efficient daily time management of schedule. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate must have the following: Trade qualification as a Plumber & Gas fitter Minimum of 3 years post trade experience working in the construction plumbing sector. Sound understanding of Plumbing Regulations. Ability to mark out pre-lays and read complex plans. The experience in reading plans, setting out drainage & water services as well as liaising with builders is extremely important to this role. Have a high level of tooling. The ability to prioritise your own tasks to enable you to complete your own onsite work in conjunction with coordinating work for your colleagues. Neat & tidy appearance Strong professional history in reliability & professional results. Excellent communication & organisation skills.
