About you We are looking for a candidate with a Degree in Theology as described in the Minimum Standards for Ordination in the Anglican Church of Australia (ordained chaplains) OR a similar qualification that may be accepted at the Bishop's discretion (lay chaplains). You will be able to be licenced or ordained by the Diocese, have the maturity of Christian faith and a high degree of comfort working with youth, including awareness of appropriate boundaries. Current qualifications, or willingness to seek training in Godly Play is also of advantage. A professional qualification or prior experience in Religious Education and/or Education is not essential but would be advantageous. All prospective candidates must also be fully compliant with Diocesan policies and with safe environment/child protection requirements, and hold a current NSW Working with Children Check, and current First Aid Certificate. About the role As our part-time Chaplain, you will work closely with our full-time Chaplain in playing a pivotal role in nurturing the spiritual and emotional well-being of our students and staff. Engaging with our diverse community, you will maintain a link with the broader Anglican Church and its mission as well as provide guidance, support, and spiritual leadership to the College. You will create a safe space for students to explore their values, beliefs, and personal growth. Additionally, you will collaborate with our well-being and teaching staff to integrate spiritual and ethical principles into our educational programs. The remuneration package for an ordained chaplain will be equivalent to the stipend and allowances for a Rector in the Diocese of Grafton.
