Engineering Electrical Adelaide Permanent / Full Time Collaborative and supportive work environment Opportunity to lead an international team Office based position with work from home flexibility Redpath Partners is partnering with a leading water solutions provider that is committed to developing efficient, sustainable and scalable water and wastewater treatment solutions. Role Purpose: The Principal Electrical Engineer will lead the Electrical Engineering function through effective coordination and control of electrical engineering design activities and requirements by partnering effectively with key stakeholders including sales, projects and operations in addition to vendors, contractors, external engineering teams and clients. The Principal Electrical Engineer will ensure the company's plant designs are efficient, fit-for-purpose and cost competitive. In addition, this position will support the sales, projects, and operations teams and provide effective electrical expertise, advice and support throughout all phases of projects. Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead the electrical engineering team and integrate them across the business Ensure electrical team provides timely, cost effective and customer focused services to the stakeholders by managing team activity, monitoring individual performance and seeking feedback from customers Lead various electrical functions and provide timely technical inputs to Engineering team Liaise with Engineering function to deliver timely and fit for purpose electrical design outputs Apply understanding of commercial aspects of projects (time, cost, warranties) in design work Ensure compliance of electrical design to Australian and relevant international and industry Standards Contribute to technical solutions for projects and operating plants Evaluate new equipment and products for integration into the company's products and services range Lead by example and foster a strong QHSE culture in the Electrical and broader Engineering teams About you: Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering Chartered Member (CPEng) credentials from Engineers Australia or equivalent Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland and Victoria (desirable) Minimum 15 years’ experience in LV and ELV electrical systems, PLC/telemetry, and Instrumentation & Control preferably in the water industry, but heavy industry/mining also favourable Demonstrated project management and supervisory skills, particularly in respect of sub-contractors Several years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering team delivering EPC projects Strong knowledge of electrical standards and installation compliance requirements including industry standards, regulations and codes within the water industry Knowledge of electrical equipment, components, materials and suppliers Well-developed electrical design and drafting skills Water industry experience will be highly regarded.
