Transgrid is reinforcing the transmission network in southern NSW with HumeLink - a new 500 kV transmission line project that will improve the flow of electricity between new generation sources and major demand centres in NSW. HumeLink will provide a crucial hub for the flow of electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM). The project will enable high volume energy transfer around the NEM improving access to affordable electricity. As the Senior Project Engineer you will: Manage the integration and coordination of the Humelink project and the Delivery partners including direct interfacing between the design, engineering, and Asset management teams. The role involves promoting collaboration and consistency across the multiple work streams including internal and external stakeholders. The role assures compliance with appropriate technical, work health & safety, environmental, budget, time, statutory and quality requirements. The Project Engineer supports the Integration team responsible for the coordination between the various project functions including environment, property, commercial, engineering and health & safety. This also includes but not limited to: Asset management integration and compliance Cross work stream oversight and controls Collaboration with stakeholders. Data Systems management and control Project Tracking and Reporting - Facilitating front line Data tracking Supporting GIS data systems on the HumeLink Project Support the Senior Project Manager in collaboration and leading the delivery partners. Support the project team in providing visibility to the project status, performance of the delivery partners. Provide support to the project team to ensure the project is developed and delivered successfully. Ensure collaboration and effective communication of the project between Humelink Project and concurrent major projects interfacing with Humelink project. Enable the successful interfacing between the project team, Delivery partners and external interfacing bodies. Skills & Experience Substantial industry experience working on Transmission networks or equivalent. Working as part of a team in the design, construction and management of large, complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders is desirable. High level of technical knowledge in the construction and maintenance of transmission line and substation assets. Proven to work well autonomously. High standard of communication and writing skills, personal integrity and professionalism. Knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and Government policy guidelines, which govern safety, engineering design, environmental assessment for the implementation of engineering projects Experience in managing workplace/construction Health & Safety and Environmental compliance. Experience in peer mentorship and resources management. A current Drivers Licence.
