About this role I-MED Radiology Network is Australia's largest and a global leader of diagnostic imaging, with circa 5,000 employees, located in more than 240 clinics across metropolitan, regional, and rural communities throughout Australia. We offer medical imaging and radiology services including x-ray, PET, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography and interventional procedures and each year across the network we perform more than 5 million patient procedures. We're looking for a software engineer with mid-senior level experience to join our development team and help build out innovative solutions in the healthcare space. Our core tech stack is Java/Postgres, with potential to work across many other platforms and solutions across the business. You'll be joining a newly established team and will influence the processes and tools to be used. You will bring a positive, dedicated and forward-thinking approach. Your enthusiasm and desire to provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers will ensure your success in the role. Key accountabilities include: Develop, test and deploy high quality software solutions to meet business requirements Contribute towards application architecture and design decisions Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies Identify and implement improvement opportunities across the software development team Lead development projects, mentor junior team members and provide guidance around best practices Key selection criteria: 5 years' commercial software development experience with Java and related frameworks Experience with front end JS frameworks such as React Experience designing/building/consuming RESTful API's Experience with PostgreSQL/Aurora Knowledge of modern application architectures including microservices and containerised apps (ie. AWS / Tanzu / Docker / Kubernetes) Strong problem solving and analytical skills Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal Healthcare IT knowledge (ie. Mirth Connect / HL7 / DICOM) beneficial, but not essential What can I-MED offer you?
