About the Company and Role: Our client is the market leader in bespoke precast concrete elements, working on construction projects of all sizes and types. The company is focused on supplying vertical and horizontal pre-cast concrete solutions across Australia. The Project Engineer's primary job purpose is to manage activities involving all facets of the project life cycle from tender award through to project close out, to ensure that customer requirements are met in line with the scope of works and project specifications. This includes, but is not limited, to contract administration, drafting and shop drawings coordination, temporary works, production scheduling, site works liaison and customer interaction. Responsibilities: Reviewing all projects documentation including specifications and scope of works to ensure strict compliance with company's obligations; Liaising with the Projects & Engineering Manager for allocating drafting resources to complete shop drawings in line with clients requirements; Liaising with clients for shop drawings approvals, requests for Information, construction programme, on-time delivery, logistics constraints and site works using clear and concise communication including supporting emails and documentation; Liaising with the clients to facilitate the speedy approval of shop drawings, responses to queries and any associated coordination works with other trades such as structural steel, glazing and the like; Procuring all project specific materials/consumables in conjunction with the Logistics Manager, Storeman and the Site Supervisor; Develop relationships with customers to generate repeat business, loyalty and promote customer focus; Ensuring that projects are delivered in line with customer expectations, agreed contract and to a high professional standard at all times; Experience and Qualifications: Proven 2-3 years' experience in similar role; Strong negotiation skills; Good understanding of safety and environmental regulations; Excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills; Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; Must be and take a client/customer-focused approach.
