The Company Our client is a well-known leader in spray technology for industrial use. Their products and systems can be found in many industries, including food & beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, mining, construction, textiles, paper, steel, and many more. Due to company growth, they are looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to join their team. About the role As part of a small but professional and enthusiastic local team, you will pursue sales leads visiting existing and new customers across South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Core duties include: Solve customers' problems and identify market opportunities Continuously seek new applications where spray technology can be implemented in the clients' process Provide technical support for customers Diagnose industrial process equipment on-site, analyse customer control systems and make appropriate integration decisions Generate technically accurate quotes in collaboration with your colleagues Train customers, sales staff, and partner suppliers on new spray system technologies Organise technical demonstrations at customer sites of nozzles and systems Work closely with the systems specialists (colleagues) in Australia and from around the world Develop long-term sales plans for key customers Skills and requirements Knowledge of pressures, flows, velocity, etc. Engineering or technical degree (electro-mechanical by preference, or similar by experience) Good knowledge of the English language (both spoken and written) is a must Knowledge of: Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components used in systems for industrial fluid handling Excellent trouble-shooting, analysis, and diagnostic skills on system-based equipment Strong computer skills, including competency with MS Office Ability to travel on week-long trips Self-motivated and strong time management skills Be able to conduct presentations, i.e. PPT, on-site trials Current Australian drivers' licence Due to the location of the work, the ideal candidate will need to be located in Sth East Melbourne This region has a variety of industries, i.e. food, beverage, construction, meat, paper, dairy, etc. What's on offer Competitive base salary, plus monthly commissions and ongoing incentives Long-term training and development opportunities, both interstate and overseas Opportunity to travel, work autonomously, and manage your own workload Support and mentoring to get you up to speed Company car, laptop, mobile, home internet, uniforms, and protective equipment supplied If you are a talented Technical Sales Engineer with a passion for innovative technology solutions, we invite you to apply.
