About The Team The Grocery & Retail team is a startup within Uber - focussed on growth, but with the support and leverage of Uber's large global ridesharing and delivery businesses. About The Role The Merchant Operations team's mission is to accelerate selection quality by enabling and supporting merchants in bringing their best offerings to the platform - through things such as onboarding, catalogue & inventory management solutions, and finding ways to improve the core merchant experience. You will play a critical role in ensuring the success of merchants on our platform, and the delivery of a high-quality experience for Grocery & Retail end users. Your Impact in Role Taking charge of our core merchant processes - e.g. onboarding - and architect a new framework for ongoing management and continuous improvement Unify our safety & compliance processes - designing how we would centralise our controls, increasing our ability to see how well they're operating Work with cross-functional stakeholders to bring merchants to life - through catalogue integrations, custom tooling, and other solutions that you will design Manage a team of 1-2 contractors who help to run the underlying processes that enable merchants success on our platform The Experience You'll Bring You know how to think through processes, and are skilled at structuring problems and designing solutions High proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets and data (bonus points for knowing SQL) Strong attention to detail, with a mindset of continuous improvement for the things that you build Comfortable with technical topics and solutions, with an ability to connect them with business objectives and outcomes A go-getter attitude; you're willing to take a hands-on approach to get the job done and bias towards action What's in it for you?
