The role Sandvik is seeking a Logistics Engineer to join our Australian Logistics team. This position encompasses a focus on continuous improvement, involving the identification of enhancements in systems, technology, and processes. The responsibilities extend to constructing business cases and proposals for system and process improvements, as well as managing the implementation of changes. This position requires up to 25% travel, encompassing both domestic and international destinations. Areas of responsibility Identify improvements, develop proposals and project manage implementation of new technologies and procedures within our logistics organization Set the standards for continuous improvement activities in region Continuously identify opportunities to fine tune systems (Blue Yonder WMS & TMS) configuration and ensure that requests for service and system support are addressed appropriately and in a timely and professional manner. Development and management of WLM engineered standards within Australia region Proactively apply supply chain expertise and analysis on operations in regional network Coordinate and partner with other global hubs to ensure best practices are shared, adopted and are compliant with Sandvik policies and objectives. Keep abreast of emerging industry trends and technologies to ensure that Sandvik Logistics continuously improves process efficiencies and customer service effectiveness. Your profile You will have worked in a similar role for least 4 years, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in Supply Chain Management. You will have a university degree in Supply Chain Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Logistics and/or Business Administration. You will have current and in-depth knowledge of supply chains and market trends and with strong analytical and commercial skills. Ideally, you will be certified in Project Management, LEAN, SCOR, Six Sigma or similar and have hands on experience with SAP S4 ERP and/or Blue Yonder WMS & TMS systems. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be a true partner to the Logistics operation. You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.
