The Opportunity: An opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join our team based in our Sydney Branch based in Prestons. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position is responsible for sales of new and used forklifts as well as long-term hire contracts within your allocated geographic territory. You will maintain the existing client base as well as ongoing development and work to increase the customer portfolio. As an Area Sales Manager at Komatsu Forklifts you'll be supported not just professionally but personally too. If you are looking for an exciting career opportunity that will have you working in a supportive team, with industry leading equipment and the backing of a global OEM, this is the role for you Your Responsibilities: Maintain engagement with existing customers and actively seek new business opportunities Capture all profitable sales within designated territory to achieve or exceed Komatsu’s target market share Maintain Komatsu’s CRM with opportunities and quotations on a regular basis Ensure all machine deliveries are conducted in a professional and timely manner Prepare and present quotations and demonstrate equipment to customers Visit major users and prospects on a minimum of a quarterly basis Carry out quarterly hire checks and report back to the branch Hire Coordinator Conduct pre deliver inspections and ensure it has been prepared in accordance with the customers instructions Demonstrate and instruct the operators on use and daily maintenance requirements Complete a customer handover including all documentation and completion of signatures Attend sales meeting and complete regular reporting Build, foster and retain good working relations with all key decision-makers internally and externally to the business The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities we’re Looking For: Proven experience in forklift sales, capital equipment or Fleet vehicles Highly developed sales, negotiation, and customer service skills Ability to demonstrate product knowledge including mechanical and technical aptitude Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and maintain a proactive bd plan Customer centric with well-developed written and verbal communication skills Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Suite Applications Forklift Licence is highly desirable The Benefits: At Komatsu Forklifts we have proven career pathways into a variety of exciting fields.
