The Coffs Harbour Bypass is a 14-kilometre bypass of the Coffs Harbour urban area, from Englands Road in the south to Sapphire in the north and is a once-in-a-generation project for the mid-north coast community. The bypass will boost the regional economy and improve connectivity, road transport efficiency and safety for local and interstate motorists. Ferrovial and Gamuda (FGJV) are the proud design and construct joint venture delivery partners for the Coffs Harbour Bypass - a significant, unique, and exceptional major infrastructure project that will leave a legacy of innovation and sustainability in the region for communities of today and tomorrow. Based in the North Sydney design office we are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to support our ITS & OMCS Project Manager and our project team to deliver this key piece of regional infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Manage the design coordination of Telecommunications scope for the project from preparatory stage, implementation and to completion. Assist in preparing and monitoring the timeline of project tenders. Monitor and ensure project planning and related deliverables are completed within schedule and budget. Liaise with Client, Consultant and Authorities to ensure compliance of tender, statutory and project requirements. Liaise with Authorities and vendors to coordinate design inputs and revisions. Support tender and procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers including tender evaluation. Assist in resolving design and site issues with regard to the project Telecommunications scope. Work with the project Quality Department to validate Quality Assurance processes are undertaken. Support the completions and commissioning of telecommunications systems across the project. Support and promote a positive culture regarding HSE, Environmental Management, Sustainability, People, Community and Quality by setting clear standards and acting as a role model to others. Required qualifications & experience Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering. Minimum 2 years' working experience in the construction industry. Experience in road & tunnelling projects will be advantageous. Proven ability to work independently and be self-initiative. Good relationship-building, strong communication and time management skills. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationship with key stakeholders.
