This is a 0.6 position to start in Term 2 for the duration of 2024 with the potential for ongoing employment. Although we are seeking a Design Technology (mandatory course) teacher, candidates with robust technology skills who are Visual Arts trained are strongly advised to apply for this role. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Duties and Responsibilities Writing, implementing and evaluating teaching programs and Dalton assignments. Use formative and summative assessment to determine student progress. Create a motivating and engaging classroom environment where students can flourish. Submit marking, reports and results in a timely manner. Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional learning. Essential Criteria Design and/or Visual Arts teaching qualifications and accreditation with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Qualifications to teach Stage 4 Technology/and or Visual Arts. Knowledge and experience in working with the NESA Curriculum. Ability to work independently but also as part of a dynamic, creative and collaborative team. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication. Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement. Support the ethos and strategic direction of the school. Capacity to create a leaning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all leaners. Provide references and Working with Children Documentation.
