Imagine Rural  - Southern NSW Local Health District What you'll be doing The Social Work Network Deputy Head of Department works under the direction of the Network Head of Department, and is responsible for leading site based Social Workers in the delivery of quality Social Work services across the network. The Deputy Head of Department supports operational, strategic and professional management of clinical staff under the leadership of the Head of Department. The Deputy Head of Department will carry a clinical caseload in line with network clinical requirements.  Selection Criteria Tertiary qualification as a Social Worker and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Demonstrated highly proficient written, verbal, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Demonstrated clinical proficiency and ability to lead a clinical team, including provision of supervision, support and training to staff. Ability to prioritise and organise the clinical workloads within a team that may span more than one regional site within the Network. Experience in developing and optimising a range of clinical services, including protocols and new services. Evidence of ongoing personal continuous professional development. Demonstrated experience in and commitment to service development, quality improvement and leading the implementation of evidence based practice. Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
