The role is to provide legal services, and where applicable oversee the provision of external legal services, to NAB’s healthcare claiming and payments business, HICAPS. A key focus will be supporting HICAPS in relation to the development and distribution of its products and services, and to identify and manage legal, regulatory, and reputational risks as they arise. Key responsibilities Provides legal and regulatory insights and advice Proactively keep abreast of changes to law, legislation, regulatory guidance, reform and policy, to support the business in understanding and responding to such changes. Manage and prioritise own practice. Sign-off/approval in relation to legal risk matters, legal documentation, and legal advice prepared for and provided to HICAPS, including: Management and development of product terms and conditions, internal processes and policies Third party contract negotiations Marketing and customer communications Regulatory and compliance advice About You: Practising lawyer with current practising certificate required Experience providing institutions with general corporate legal and regulatory advice Experience in banking and financial services law preferred, particularly Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act and the ASIC Act, Build and maintain strong key stakeholder relationships and partner with the business and internal colleagues Drive continuous improvement to optimise customer and colleague experience Focus on simplification and clear communication A diverse and inclusive workplace works better for everyone.
