The Role: Based at our Ferryden Park depot, our Powerline Apprentice will be mentored, trained, and supported to learn and carry out the duties associated with the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical powerlines and structures (the poles and wires you see in the streets as well as the underground network) to ensure the community is connected to the grid. On completion of a Powerline Apprenticeship, you will receive a restricted electrical worker's licence. Essential Criteria: Current driver’s licence (full or probationary); Right to work in Australia (as an Australian citizen or permanent resident); Sound Literacy, Numeracy and Mechanical reasoning skills; and Practical experience using handheld and power tools (desirable). Our ideal candidates for an apprenticeship will have a strong work ethic, the ability to self-manage, a mature outlook, a team-first mentality and an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and our customers. If shortlisted, applicants will need to participate in the following: Online aptitude testing; Interviews (online and face to face); Heights and Dexterity Testing; and Pre-employment background checks including medical, driving history and criminal history check.
