We have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Partner to engage with our Retail Banking Finance team to drive financial insight and analysis to drive and improve business performance. The Purpose of the role is to provide commercial financial leadership, guidance and support to the business including financial planning, financial control, project governance, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and advisory services depending on business requirements. You will support and align with the NAB Finance Strategy to modernise Finance and seek opportunities to drive simplification and process efficiencies. Your responsibilities will include: Support the translation of the business unit's strategy into a functionally effective plan. Provide direction to the relevant BU leadership team to ensure the development and delivery of objectives and initiatives within the strategic parameters. Support the BU Executives in partnership with the Head of to grow the business, align with our strategic ambition and ensure transformation/simplification. Identify financial and non-financial performance trends through critical review and analysis, prepare key insights and present these to the Executive leadership team. Drive detailed financial and business performance analysis by using data analytical skills to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice on both strategic and operational initiatives, such as the origination & pipeline for business, expense productivity savings, regional, industry and banker performance. Coordinate planning and forecasting models to capture business inputs and group assumptions correctly. Collaborate to ensure simplification by ensuring all standard reporting and financial control activities are delivered consistently across Finance. Identify financial performance trends, both positive and negative, and, through critical review & analysis of internal and external factors, develop and recommend short- and longer-term strategies to improve business performance. Work with the central planning teams to relay business knowledge that can be leveraged during the planning process. Engage and liaise with the business and their partners around executing plan target allocations. What you will bring: High level of analysis and problem-solving skills driving commercial insights. Strong reporting, planning, financial control, and governance capability. Unpack and drives commercial insights. Ability to synthesise detailed information and extract relevant key concepts. Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders while delivering results and proactive in meeting deliverables. Interested in growing and adapting their communication skills to prepare and deliver presentations within the business. Previous Finance/business partnering experience with Finance/Financial Services knowledge mandatory. Experience across a range of Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate centre planning and reporting and financial control roles.
