We are looking for a Lead Electrical Designer with extensive experience in mining, industrial and mineral processing projects. Our client is currently executing a major Rare Earths project and is seeking an experienced designer to lead the electrical team. Role Accountabilities: We are looking for a motivated Lead Electrical Designer for a billion-dollar plus Rare Earths Project. Your key responsibilities will include: Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer and Lead I&C Engineer with the production of drawing deliverables. Participate in technical discussions and provide technical input into the design as required. Planning and scheduling of design activities in conjunction with the Engineering Leads Identify changes in scope and provide input to variations where required. Keep abreast of changes in plant layout / model (directly or indirectly) through regular inter-discipline communication. Assist with the production of other deliverables such as MTOs as called upon by the Lead Engineers. Qualifications & Experience: Demonstrated experience in electrical design across mineral processing, industrial and mining projects will be highly regarded. Proven experience managing and mentoring designers including checking of design deliverables for drawing quality. Experience with SmartPlant suite to investigate and assist with the implementation of SPEL and SPI for the project. Capability to work in a large collaborative team environment to drive a project to conclusion. The ability for collaborative engagement of functional groups and other stakeholders to achieve the project goals.
