About the Role ABC News is looking for a digital journalist to contribute to the creation of compelling news and mobile-first content treatments across an expanding range of third-party platforms, including Instagram. You will contribute to social media content creation in a timely, accurate and relevant way to meet audience needs across a 7-day roster. The role will see you: Pitch and create engaging and informative content for third-party platforms, primarily Instagram. Engage with audiences and moderate comments on ABC News' social media accounts. Monitor and analyse user data and audience metrics to assess story performance and inform future decisions. Maintain a strong awareness of third-party platforms and emerging trends. About You You will have proven experience creating and producing engaging, digital first content across all platforms, and be able to file social media stories to deadline that align with platform best practice and the News brands. You will be proficient using key social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok, as well as strong knowledge of digital media industry developments and audience trends. You will also be able to demonstrate: Content production capabilities using professional tools (Canva and Adobe Suite) to create social media content including tiles, graphics and videos. Developed understanding of Khoros (or similar) for content scheduling and community management. The ability to work as part of a team under tight deadlines.
