About the Team: We are responsible for providing legal support for Oracle's business with public and private sector customers for all Oracle's lines of business (across Cloud, Software, Hardware, Technical Support and Consulting); contract disputes; compliance with business practices and provision of legal advice. We work closely with Oracle executives to negotiate and draft agreements with our customers, and often oversee the efforts of various internal groups in order to ensure that Oracle contracts align with company policies and applicable law. Our lawyers have instinctively good judgment and impeccable integrity. We are seeking a lawyer who can be a strategic legal advisor, and a true dedicated problem-solver. Reporting to the Vice President and Associate General Counsel, ANZ, you will join a close-knit team of skilled ANZ lawyers and work closely with the other ANZ, JAPAC and global lawyers and Oracle internal stakeholders to provide high quality legal advice and support. We are looking for a highly motivate lawyer with: Law degree and current practising certificate to practise law in an Australian jurisdiction 12 years of experience as a legal practitioner Extensive experience with commercial negotiations, business dealings and IT contracting Ability to work well as part of a team and independently High level of legal drafting and negotiation skills Solutions oriented approach to commercial and legal issues and assessment of risk Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities Ability to adapt to evolving requirements Ability to quickly develop an understanding of applicable business requirements and policies Ability to instill trust and confidence in others and be seen as a trusted and valued adviser Extensive experience with Government contracting and knowledge of public sector procurement is highly desirable If you are a self-motivated, collaborative individual who wants to make an impact as a member of our valued legal team, this role may be for you.
