Our Client who has been in the Hot metal Industry Insince 1993 are seeking a Production/Forklift Operator to join their friendly and supportive team. Our Client: Complete Recruitment Solutions is currently recruiting for a leading Australian-owned manufacturer and distributor, working in the hot metals industry. We are seeking a Production /Forklift Operator paying $35.00 ph for the day shift. Full training provided, Temp to Perm after 6 months, for the right candidate and career growth opportunities. Reporting: The position reports to the General Manager with an indirect report to the Warehouse Production Co-ordinator. General Responsibilities: To promote the company’s interests and directives at all times. Commitment to Health & Safety Policy and to comply with safety responsibilities including PPS requirements both on and off-site. To ensure all Policies and Procedures are adhered to. Duties: Loading and unloading of trucks in a timely and efficient manner whilst ensuring the correct material is sent and received Material crushing operations of the correct material to meet required specifications and performed in a timely and efficient manner Repacking of material Some site maintenance is required, including the reporting of any broken equipment, tooling or damage to premises. Good housekeeping and regularly ensuring all areas are clean and no risk of material falling into storm water drains. Ensure all site security measures are observed The position requires input into site safety and total compliance to the company’s WH&S obligations and laws. Other Functions and Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by Management Be prepared to work overtime when and as required To complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner Participation in training to gain internal accreditation in the use of Mobicon (container lifter) and other specialised machines Essential Skills: A Current LF forklift license is essential The ability to work as a team member The ability to communicate clearly and effectively whether written or orally. Experience in the repacking of bulk materials into bulk bags, drums and pails is desirable Experience in unloading and loading trucks and containers Experience in materials storage e.g. Pallet stacking Demonstrated ability to use forklift to move, stack and rack heavy loads greater than 1 metric tonne Previous experience in a similar role, within food, paint, chemical, fertilizer, or related industries where mixing of materials is involved Excellent attention to detail, especially with measurements, calculations, and associated paperwork A friendly and positive attitude Must be reliable and punctual Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good level of physical fitness with no lifting restrictions A strong focus on safety Preferred Experience: Experience in the chemical, alloys or ores industry is desirable What's in it for you: $35 ph Super Immediate start with training Fantastic team with low turnover Lunch is provided every day and a barbecue on Fridays Secure onsite parking Opportunity for career growth
