About the role: Our OSHC offers before and after school care as well as vacation care. Located in Berowra Heights our OSHC is open to children from St Bernard’s, and we are located on the school grounds. We have an opportunity for a Child Care Educator that excels in understanding the needs of a child in creating a fun, warm, caring and safe environment. This position is permanent part time working Monday – Friday, working afternoons from 2PM to 6PM. You will bring with you : Understanding and experience with My Time, Our Place Framework Assisting the Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate programs Ensuring a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices Creating a fun and engaging environment through play experiences Developing positive and supportive relationships with children and families Ability to form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues To be successful in this role you will need: Experience working with school aged children Cert III qualification in Children’s Services or working towards Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance Completed or willing to complete Safe Food Handling training First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting About us At CatholicCare, we understand the importance of children getting off to a good start in happy, creative and supportive environments that provide opportunities for children to explore, make friends, build on their strengths and get any extra help they need to set them on a positive learning journey.
