Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical and ITS Assets Engineer for an initial 6-month contract with possible extension in their East Perth office. Rate: Candidates will be submitted at the rate of their choosing Duration: Initial 6 months with possible extension Location: East Perth, WA Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate) ROLE DESCRIPTION / FUNCTION FUNCTION: Electrical and ITS Assets Engineer - Asset Management: Manage and oversee the electrical and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) assets within the road agency. This includes the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of assets to ensure optimal functionality and lifespan. - Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of Annual Works Program (AWP) for tunnel, roadside electrical and mechanical assets including funding allocation. - Technical Support: Provide input and support to complete Technical Queries, Design Reviews and End Customer Related queries, including all necessary research required to fulfil these to a high standard. - Documentation and Records: Maintain comprehensive records of all electrical and ITS assets, including specifications, maintenance history, and performance data. Ensure accurate and up-to-date asset documentation. - Asset Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize asset performance and cost-effectiveness. This may involve upgrades, enhancements, or the implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency. - Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all electrical and ITS assets meet regulatory compliance and industry standards. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. - Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for asset management, including procurement, maintenance, and upgrades, to ensure efficient financial utilization. - Data Analysis: Utilise data analysis and reporting to make informed decisions regarding asset management and improvement strategies. - Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to ensure seamless asset management and compliance, including inter-agency discussions. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE - A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or a related field is essential for this role. - Strong knowledge of electrical and ITS systems and assets, including their design, functionality, and maintenance, is required. - Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders. - Skills in asset management, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal, are crucial for this role. - Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards related to electrical and ITS assets. - Experience in managing budgets for asset management and financial planning. - Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to make data-driven decisions for asset optimization. - Strong problem-solving abilities are required to address challenges related to asset performance and maintenance. - The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is important for successful asset management and compliance.
