Reporting to the Superintendent Control Systems, you will develop, maintain, and support all control systems and equipment, and drive equipment reliability and operational effectiveness across our Port facility. This role will also provide technical support to the operations team. Duties Deliver control systems support to maintain the safety, reliability, and availability of all process plant equipment Investigate the root cause of plant downtime related to control systems and identify improvement opportunities Deliver control systems design, programming and commissioning for improvement projects and optimisation of plant performance Skills and experience Relevant tertiary qualifications (Electrical, Control Systems, Mechatronics or Computer Science) or electrical trade qualifications with further control systems studies/ experience PLC systems experience (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/ CompactLogix preferred) and SCADA systems experience (Rockwell Automation PlantPAx preferred) Processing plants and/ or port operations experience within a mining operations environment Experience working with balance machines (stackers, reclaimers, ship loaders), car dumpers, anti-collision systems (ACS) and stockpile management systems (SMS) preferred Port Hedland Facilities Modern, comfortable camp accommodation Convenient walking access to South Hedland town facilities and shops High quality gourmet food options (vegan, gluten free and healthy options) Fully equipped fitness centre facility SWIFT In-room entertainment with comprehensive content and own-device casting capability Active social club with community events and activities for employees Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your family Village shop and extensive supporting amenities About Roy Hill Roy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.
