The Opportunity Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a recent university graduate to join our team as the Junior Wastewater Operations Engineer based in Cameron Park, 2285. As the Junior Operations Engineer you will support all aspects of wastewater treatment operations including process monitoring and troubleshooting, sampling, routine inspections, plant improvements, data collection, report writing, and biosolids processing. Conducting routine testing and data analysis to ensure compliance with environmental licences and other regulatory requirements. Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues, such as equipment malfunctions or process inefficiencies. Preparing reports and documentation, including operational data, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance reports. Participating in site inspections and audits to identify potential risks and hazards, and implement safety protocols and precautions. Assisting with wastewater biosolids operations including processing, sampling, transport, disposal and process improvements. What you'll need to be successful Recent graduate (or nearing completion) with tertiary qualifications in engineering or environmental field. Basic knowledge of wastewater and recycled water treatment processes, including biological treatment, filtration, disinfection, and solids separation. Familiarity with process control and management systems (eg SCADA).
