The Opportunity Here at EBOS Group we have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our IT team and help us improve our security posture through delivering a program of technology and administrative standards. Reporting to the Security Engineering Team Lead you will be responsible for working within the Security Team & the wider business to maintain, manage, support & administer security services. You will also work on cutting-edge projects, contributing to innovative solutions that fortify our organisation against evolving digital threats. What you will do Advanced Security Engineering: Creating and implementing robust security measures; Defining Security Requirements: Identifying and setting system security standards; Security Culture Promotion: Fostering a security-conscious culture across the organization; Agile Process Improvement: Continuously improving security processes in a fast-moving IT environment; Device Policy Tuning: Configuring security devices for optimal protection; Cloud Security Expertise: Managing security in Azure and AWS environments; Compliance: Ensuring adherence to industry and government security standards. What we are looking for Proficiency in Active Directory and Azure AD; Strong expertise in AWS and Azure Security Services; In-depth understanding of Network Security Groups and Application Security Group configurations; Proven track record as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer; Experience in constructing and maintaining security systems; Experience with Web Application Firewall (WAF) deployment; Proficiency in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity and Access Management (IDAM); Familiarity with network security and networking technologies, as well as system, security, and network monitoring tools; Knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE is a plus; Hands-on experience with security systems, including IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, DLP, Security Event Correlation, and EDR; Thorough grasp of security principles, techniques, and protocols, including ASD Essential 8, ISM, ISO 27001, and NIST; Experience in Infrastructure and Platform Security; Comprehensive technical knowledge of database and operating system security; Demonstrated expertise in Cloud security practices, particularly in Azure and AWS environments; Desired certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, or CISM; Ability to perform effectively under pressure while handling sensitive and confidential data.
