We are currently looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to work on major mining projects across various commodities. To Be Considered for the Role you must have : - Minimum 10 years of Leading a piping team. - Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors - Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects - Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecasts - Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design - Review and approve vendor lists, prepare quotation requests/bid tabulations/purchase orders and review substitutions for technical acceptability - Assign work to teams, monitor, and manage the work - Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of complex to difficult engineering complexity - Prepare piping purchase descriptions for valves, pipe, fittings, and flanges, and other special piping components - Calculate pipe wall thickness (pressure & vacuum), and make preliminary selections - Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) for proper valving and conformance to specification In order to be considered for this position, current Australian legal working rights are required.
