BENEFITS This is a newly created role, your chance to shape the future growth of the company Career growth and professional development, as the company expands its operations Be instrumental in the new Greenfields site planned for late 2024 Collaborative and inclusive small town/family-based work environment Work in the picturesque setting of Regional Victorian Highlands Be a part of a company on a growth trajectory, two new mines sites locally and tenements further afield in WA and NT Only company of its type in Australia producing a unique commodity, who command 96% of the Australian and New Zealand markets Relocation allowance assistance Competitive salary of up to $130,000 plus superannuation Relatively inexpensive accommodation relative to larger centers KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As the Chemical and Process Engineer, and a member of the site senior leadership team, working in collaboration with production and R&D, you will be responsible for: Conducting research and development activities to enhance the processing and improve production efficiency Optimize chemical processes to ensure the highest quality output Lead the Laboratory team of six, and ensure calibration of equipment Monitor and analyze data and samples to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions Provide technical support to the production team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Ensuring quality of mining haulage, and minimizing batch re-works, and waste Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards Modernizing and upgrading the current plant to ensure that future demand will be met Driving Quality Control standards Run trials and document results, deliver solutions QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or a related field IChemE or CP Eng would be an advantage Proven experience in chemical engineering, particularly in mineral processing or related industries Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of clay processing and/or paint manufacturing/formulation is highly desirable Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to influence a team and efficiently effect change management Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively HOW TO APPLY: If you are excited about the prospect of contributing to the success of this growing enterprise and possess the qualifications and skills outlined above, please submit your application via seek, or for a confidential conversation reach out to garthbarclayrecruitment.com.au or 0483 877 213.
