Administrative Assistant - Planned Surgery Reform Support the Planned Surgical Program at The Royal Melbourne Hospital Provide both team administrative support and patient clerical support Full Time, Fixed Term position until June 30, 2024 (Part time applications accepted) We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable administrative assistant who is autonomous and enjoys working in a team orientated environment. The Planned Surgery Recovery & Reform Team strives to provide safe, timely, effective and person centred care for the patients on The Royal Melbourne (RMH) surgical waiting list. Due to the impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic, the RMH planned surgery waitlist has significantly increased with more patients waiting longer than the clinically recommended times for their surgery. The Planned Surgery Recovery and Reform Team are working on a number of initiatives to improve access to planned surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Within a supportive team environment, the administrative assistant will support the project team to complete these initiatives as well as provide clerical patient support to elective surgery patients. Your new role Provide administrative support to the Planned Surgery Recovery and Reform Team. Liaise with patients and their carer's, both in person and via phone, to support initiatives to improve patient care (including auditing). Update and maintain client management systems (EPIC, iPM and others as relevant) ensuring information is accurate and current. Maintain accurate and timely electronic data, including supporting in the completion of audits and using Excel. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with co-workers and patients. About you: You will be a great communicator and be able to engage respectfully with all stakeholders. Have an eye for detail and be able to maintain accurate data and records Reliable and has a can-do attitude Able to work autonomously, but thrives on working in a team orientated environment. Have good skills in utilising Office 365 software Be able to promote and maintain a safe and inclusive workplace.
