As a team we ensure the intake, triage and scheduling of all community and hospital referrals for the Aged Care Assessment Team. Successful candidates need to be able to manage a variety of administration tasks to a high standard, including telephone calls, data entry, and scheduling and general office duties. The person needs to be team player, have a clear speaking voice , be able to take direction and have a high attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of the Australian Aged Care system will be a distinct advantage but training is also included. Where you'll be working Macquarie Hospital – ACAT Central Office What you'll be doing The primary purpose of the position is to provide administrative support and assessment scheduling functions for the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The Administrator is responsible for the provision of administrative and clerical services supporting efficient and effective delivery of assessments by the ACAT including updating client records with key service events. The purpose of the ACAT is the assessment of the needs of frail elderly clients and their carers in public and private hospitals, in the community and in residential aged care facility (RACF) settings within NSLHD Local Government Areas;and organisation of support services, as appropriate. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Proven ability to manage data accurately and diligently. Able to demonstrate excellent key board skills and manage allocated workload within key performance indicators. Proven client engagement skills. Current NSW Drivers Licence.
