Reporting to the CSO, the Sales Manager – SME Residential Builders is responsible for overseeing the management, leadership, growth, and overall performance of the SME Residential Builder Sales Team. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, setting pricing and promotion strategies, with a focus on achieving sales targets and budgets. The Sales Manager is also dedicated to continuous improvement to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Job Description Key Account Sales Strategy: Design and execute strategic initiatives tailored for SME residential builders, emphasizing long-term objectives. Identify and classify key accounts based on criteria such as revenue potential, strategic value, and growth potential. Builder Relations: Establish, nurture, and expand long-term relationships with residential builders and contractors. Collaborate on business plans with key accounts, outlining mutual objectives, roles, responsibilities, and partnership road maps. Maintain regular communication channels, including check-ins, performance reviews, and strategy sessions. Provide insights, share industry trends, and offer solutions beyond the product or service. Market & Client Analysis: Stay informed about housing market trends, builder preferences, and competitor offerings. Deeply understand clients' business needs, challenges, and goals. Product Showcase & Knowledge: Organize and conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and site visits. Ensure the sales team is well-versed in product features, benefits, and competitor comparisons. Maintain in-depth knowledge about product features, installation methods, and benefits. Sales Forecasting & Targets: Predict monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales figures. Collaborate with production and logistics to ensure supply meets residential construction project demands. Monitor and strive to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Team Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate closely with the internal sales team, sharing leads, market insights, and strategies. Ensure alignment among various departments in serving key account needs. Train and lead the sales staff, instilling excellence, collaboration, and a customer-first approach. Negotiations: Handle volume pricing negotiations, ensuring competitive and profitable deals. Performance Monitoring: Assess the efficacy of builder-centric sales initiatives regularly and adjust strategies as needed. Utilize CRM systems and other technologies to track interactions, manage commitments, and glean insights from data. Regularly review sales data and team performance to identify areas for improvement or growth. Feedback Loop: Relay builder feedback to production and design teams for product improvements and innovation. Solicit feedback on the relationship as a whole to understand what's working and where improvements are needed. Event Participation: Represent the company at trade shows, builder conferences, and industry events to promote the product range. Work, Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to Work, Health, and Safety. Comply with all laws, acts, and regulations related to Work, Health, and Safety. Identify, assess, and control hazards within the operational area. Ensure the use of required PPE at all times. Promptly report any incidents, hazards, or near misses. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). Proven track record in B2B sales management, with a preference for experience targeting residential builders or related industry segments. In-depth knowledge of the window and door industry, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate product advantages. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation and presentation techniques. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret sales data and identify market trends. Exceptional customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, supported by a proven track record in relationship-building. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with builders, attend events, and showcase products.
