About the Role We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Engineer ready to step into a Senior Engineer position. As a Senior Fire Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Conducting fire safety engineering audits, fire engineering analysis, and fire engineering modeling. Evaluating and assessing fire safety solutions and innovations to ensure compliance with codes and standards. Developing fire strategies to meet Performance Requirements and local codes. Performing project inspections to secure certifications. Producing comprehensive fire safety reports and delivering effective presentations. Enhancing exposure to preparing fee proposals and providing team leadership. Collaborating with stakeholders, Engineering Designers, and relevant authorities. Cultivating strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Salary: $110K - $140K Package (Negotiable) Skills and Experience We are looking for individuals with: In-depth knowledge of the BCA and relevant Australian Standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and codes, including International Fire Engineering Guidelines, Australian Building Codes and Standards, DHHS CDG Guidelines, MFB Guidelines, and the Cell and Fire Safety Guidelines. Strong lateral thinking skills to review, assess, and develop various engineering designs. Formal qualifications in Structural, Mechanical, Civil, or Fire Safety Engineering, with Post Graduate qualifications in Fire Engineering being essential. Demonstrated skills in Fire Safety Consultant Advice/Strategy, Fire Engineering Brief, Fire Engineering Report, and Fire Engineering Risk assessment preparation. Essential registration with I.E. Aust, with CPEng and NER being desirable.
