About the Role Swinburne Student Life are seeking an experienced Finance and Administration Officer to join their teamThe Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for conducting all administrative and operational aspects of the finance function for Swinburne Student Life including development and implementation of robust data collection and storage initiatives, and finance systems and processes, that support the various teams within Swinburne Student Life to deliver quality student experiences at Swinburne. The role will work closely with all areas of Swinburne Student Life and Swinburne University of Technology’s finance department to ensure compliance, best practice and integrity of Swinburne Student Life’s financial management and performance.Working in this role will be the successful applicant work closely with all areas of Swinburne Student Life and the Swinburne finance department to ensure compliance and best practice.About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Demonstrated relevant experience in a finance function within a multi-faceted organisation Demonstrated ability to identify and implement initiatives through the analysis of financial and business performance reports with measurable outcomes Extensive experience in all facets of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Extensive experience in month end processing including journal and accrual preparation, and board report preparation Experience in budget and forecast preparation, departmental and project reporting Experience in supporting annual statutory auditing and reporting processes Demonstrated ability to comply with complex organisational policies and procedures Demonstrated ability and capacity to contribute to the development of a positive and co-operative team environment Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service, to implement new initiatives and take innovative approach to customer service QualificationsA relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.About Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne Horizon 2025 draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
