MR Tanker Driver - Ballarat Elgas MR Rigid Tanker Driver required to deliver Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Working out of Geelong or Ballarat depot into the Ballarat & surrounding areas. Casual Role - Averaging 1-2 days per week in Summer and 4-5 days in Winter This is a casual position that requires a person who is a competent driver and operator with the ability to work efficiently and autonomously without direct supervision whilst inside and outside the depot. The successful candidate will hold a MR license or above. Dangerous Goods licence an advantage but not essential, we can provide to the right candidate. Successful candidate will need to provide a good five-year driving record (VicRoads demerit printout required) and pass a BFM medical or equivalent. Hours vary throughout the year average 2 days in Summer and 5 days during winter. $37.45/hr Key Responsibilities Multi-drop, filling bottles and tanks on site - completed via hose fills. Filling out driver's run sheets and paperwork accurately for return to depot for processing daily Excellent Customer Service skills Keep your vehicle and equipment clean and presentable and ensure relevant maintenance and safety checks are carried out regularly. Skills & Experience Minimum Current Australian MR truck licence Current DG (Dangerous Goods) license (Can supply to the right applicant). Experience in commercial truck driving Knowledge of the fatigue legislation and all safety facets surrounding the transport industry Geographical knowledge of Ballarat and surrounds Fitness for manual handling of hoses and cylinders as required.
