Role Overview: The Technical Sales Executive position is a newly created focused on selling raw materials into the industrial sector of Australia and across Asia. As part of a specialist team, this role plays a pivotal part in the extended sales process requiring the demonstration of products at both laboratory and plant scales. Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure they are well-prepared for the responsibilities of the role. The initial phase will involve intensive training and product demonstrations, with the ultimate objective of empowering the candidate to take charge of specific overseas markets. Key Responsibilities: Identify and cultivate fresh business prospects within the domestic and international industrial manufacturing markets. Nurture enduring business connections with customers by delivering consistent product support and actively engaging in continuous process improvement. Support plant-scale trials, actively contributing to the application of our products within customer processes. Present product demonstrations at the laboratory level and offer scalable solutions for a seamless transition to plant-scale applications. Generate customer quotes, contribute to order scheduling for export, and support the preparation of tender responses. Spend time at customer plants in Australia and travel to overseas customer sites, typically dedicating one week every 6-8 weeks, as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Possess a tertiary-level qualification in a scientific field. Demonstrate technical proficiency and an analytical mindset when engaging with processes and applications. Exhibit a hands-on approach and a readiness to work in demanding heavy manufacturing environments. Preferably (though not mandatory), possess experience in customer-to-customer sales or account management. Established track record in constructing and sustaining productive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and industry representatives. Demonstrate proficiency in effectively engaging with customers on a technical level. Industry Sectors: Paper, Corrugating, Plasterboard, Mining, and various fermentation applications.
