AtlamGroup - Melbourne, VIC The Role & Project MACA Infrastructure are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne supporting the M80 Ring Road Completion Project. The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028. Responsibilities will include: Day to day management of project construction activities for the civil scope of work Monitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors on site to ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, industrial relations, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained. Plan and procure appropriate resources to fulfil program requirements (plant, labour, materials and subcontractor requirements) Identify and support supervisor with coordination of trades and subcontractors. Plan, manage and implement the site establishment activities necessary to ensure all site specific and contract requirements are met in terms of location, fencing, signage, environmental and traffic conditions. Identification, analysis and mitigation of potential risk events including establishment of risk register and initiation of corrective action when required Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedule and budget Analyse variance, trends, risks and opportunities, key business drivers and sensitivities, highlighting significant operational performance issues to management We are looking for: A tertiary qualification/certificate in Bachelor of Engineering degree or similar At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in the civil construction industry Demonstrated extensive experience in civil infrastructure projects Experience in subcontractor management and self perform projects What we will offer you: Access to a number of Salary Sacrificing benefits – including Novated Leasing arrangements.
