Join us in building better connections for Victoria by: Managing the end-to-end design review processes across a specified delivery package, including the continual review and investigation of project designs, the closing out of design comments and review of design reports for completeness, compliance to requirements, standards, and constructability. Providing leadership, guidance and supervision to a small team of Senior Project Engineers-Design and Project Engineers-Design within the specified delivery package; encouraging them to cultivate best practice outcomes for the specified delivery package. Supervising design consultants and technical advisory services, approve design solutions and management plans and provide effective solutions to any project issues or risks escalated by Project Engineers or Senior Project Engineers, on behalf of the client. Building strong relationships and lead complex negotiations with the stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, consultants, municipal councils, various statutory authorities and other government agencies to ensure work is prioritised and delivered in accordance with the designated legislation, guidelines and scope. Ensuring the highest ethical standard in the delivery of NELP’s objectives, adopting a leadership approach to the management of safety across the specified delivery package, attending Safety in Design meetings, site safety walks, general inspections and managing any escalated safety issues as required. About You You will bring significant experience in the development and delivery of design solutions for road and/or tunnel infrastructure projects. Furthermore, you possess: A detailed and demonstrated understanding of - and significant experience in applying - Austroads, VicRoads, Council standards, Australian Standards and multiple service authority guidelines within a road and/or tunnel project context. Demonstrated achievement in the delivery of elements of the project within the scheduled timeframe and budget optimising safety, environmental impacts, reliability, operational characteristics, and maintainability, through to handover. Advanced knowledge of - and experience in utilising - InEight, BlueBeam, CAD software and design modelling tools. Exposure to MicroStation and digital engineering software such as Revisto and WebGIS is desirable. This role is a 3-year fixed-term position, based at Melbourne CBD and Central site offices in Heidelberg and Abbotsford.
