Do you have Local Government experience and a strong background in project management? This is the role for you Collar Group has partnered with a leading Council in Sydney's South that is looking for a temporary Project Engineer to assist the team for a period of up to six months. You will be responsible for identifying, implementing and overseeing the construction of key civil and building works projects that the Council has listed in their Community Strategic Plan. This is a 6 month contract position which is unlikely to be extended About the role: Prepare consultancy briefs, develop Tender and/or Request for Quotation documentation, project manage consultants and/or contractors to ensure outcomes are achieved and procurement processes are adhered to Seek out and apply for grant funding for key building and civil projects Manage public consultation and participation in Council's project delivery program Develop innovative and practical solutions to complex and potentially sensitive project matters. Liaise with project stakeholders, including delivering key project messages and receiving/collating feedback. Any other duties as directed by the Coordinator Engineering and/or Manager City Technical Services About you: Essential: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent Extensive experience (4 years) in the project management of civil works with comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques and methods for projects Demonstrated experience in budget and contract administration Demonstrated experience in engaging stakeholders and the community Demonstrated experience in grant, report and award writing White Card Class C Drivers Licence Australian Citizen or relevant work rights Desirable: Previous Local Government experience How to apply: Apply now or send your resume to erin.rodgercollar.group All applications will be held in strict confidence.
